Description
Consciousness is forever unfolding at the level of realization. The two creation allegories presented in the first, second and third chapters of Genesis reveal very different levels of consciousness, which result in very different conclusions. The original compilers of the Bible put the principle of the perfection of Being first and the problem of being second.
In this book, the study begins with Genesis 2 and 3, because when this allegory is clearly understood, those who ask “Why do bad things happen to good people?” will find their answer and then be more receptive to the principle of creation revealed in Genesis 1. So with this in mind and with a pure motive of love for all seekers of truth, the last is presented first and the first last.
Virginia Stephenson has been a practitioner and teacher of the mystical way of life for thirty years. In 1959 she met Joel Goldsmith, the noted 20th century mystic, and studied with him until his transition in 1964. he invited her to speak on the mystical interpretation of the Bible at his 1962 Honolulu class and again at his final Chicago class. For four years Virginia Stephenson compiled monthly Bible lessons which were printed in Joel Goldsmith’s monthly letter, a publication with worldwide circulation.
The Bible has always been a constant source of inspiration and practical guidance for Mrs. Stephenson. She writes, “In order to understand the nature of prayer, we must understand the two creation stories given in Genesis. The fundamental level of our state of awareness depends upon what we accept to be true about creation. The purpose of this study of the Genesis versions of creation is to expand our awareness of the kingdom of God within us so that we can catch the spiritual sense of prayer that further leads to the awakening of our true Being.”
